FIRST THINGS FIRST

WA IS BAPTIZED!

LITERALLY LOVE WA!

So many people came. It was really good to see the love everyone has for him. We got him scriptures, but it had someone's name on it, so we just taped a piece of paper over it with his name lolololol.

But he's baptized and confirmed! LOVE HIM. We will hopefully be getting him to the temple in the next week!

(Also when we cleaned the baptismal font, Sister Vance head dived in and gave herself a concussion)

Ch had his baptismal interview , he's officially getting baptized next Saturday! PUMPED!!!

Also its transfer week, and GUESS WHAT?! I'M STAYING IN CITY CREEK! On Tuesday, I had a strong feeling to call President Dixon and tell him that I needed to stay, but I didn't.

He called us Wednesday morning and said "Can I talk to Sister Wingate in private?" You know I pooped my pants. He told me he has a strong feeling my work was not done in City Creek!

Sister Vance is leaving, and Sister Meek is coming to be my companion, and we are going to be the Sister Training Leaders, also the City Creek elders are becoming the Zone Leaders lol. This is mine and Elder Nelsons 4th transfer in City Creek and our 3rd companions here lol. Obvi we haven't done what we were suppose to yet.

On Wednesdays, we have a Book of Mormon class at the church, where we read and discuss the Book of Mormon.

The elders had an investigator named An came at the end , the elders went to the bathroom and left An by himself, so me being the good person I am, went and talked to him. We talked for a couple minutes, and he told me about his life and the simple get to know yous, and right when the elders walked back in An asks "can I give you a hug?" so, An hugged me.

Then after that we go see the young women, and eat ice cream, I turn around and Elder Nelson looks mad and calls me over. Basically Elder Nelson said I have gotten more out of An in a minute than they have in like 4 lessons, and they tell us to teach him. They told Brother Kuaea that "Sister Wingate has the magic touch"

and brother Kuaea said "she's got the.... poachers touch" and ran away.

So we have a lesson with An tomorrow lol.

its been a really good week.

I just wanted to share this scripture with everyone, it has helped me a lot these last 6 weeks

Its from the Book of Mormon and its Mosiah 24 : 13-14

13 And it came to pass that the voice of the Lord came to them in their afflictions, saying: Lift up your heads and be of good comfort, for I know of the covenant which ye have made unto me; and I will covenant with my people and deliver them out of bondage.

BALL IS LIFE

14 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.

Knowing that no matter what we are put through, if we rely on the Lord and remember our promises we make with Him, He WILL help us even in the hardest times.
